Galliers Homes, one of Shropshire’s leading house builders, has given a big boost to a local parish council.
The company, which is building a total of 19 four and five bedroom homes at the Chetwynd Mere development in Newport, welcomed Councillor Maurice Jones of Chetwynd Aston & Woodcote Parish Council to its sales office recently.
Sonya Bagley of Galliers handed over a £5000 cheque, which will be used to buy a defibrillator to be installed outside the Wheatsheaf pub in Newport and ‘Smart Water’ security measures for the community.
“We are a family-owned company and always take an interest in community activities in Shropshire,” said Sonya.
Current prices at Chetwynd Mere start at £365,000 and over 50% of the development has now been sold.
